The Graduate School Library officially began to be served in 1999, given the various study programs that had been developed in previous years. At the end of 1999, the library was managed by Mr. Suali Fuad and assisted by Syukron. The leadership of this postgraduate program was initiated by Prof. Dr. Harun Nasution (1982), Prof. Dr. H. Said Agil Husin al Munawar, MA, Prof. Dr. Komaruddin Hidayat (2004). Along with the change in the name of this institution in the leadership of Prof. Dr. Azyumardi Azra to the Postgraduate School, the name of the library was called the Postgraduate School Library.

Vision

Library and Resarch Resource Center as a research base that fosters the culture, environment, and research resources of the university to support the realization of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta's vision to become a world-class research university.

Mission

1. Provide a complete collection in the field of Islamic and general fields, as a supporter of lectures, research, and community service activities.
2. Providing a variety of quality services in order to fulfill the information needs of the entire academic community of UIN Jakarta.
3. Realizing information empowerment in creating a scientific community of both students, academic and non-academic staff and the community at large through various information literacy programs.
4. Provide a means of disseminating and preserving information and knowledge effectively and efficiently by using electronic and non-electronic facilities.
5. Building effective cooperation with the campus community and other institutions or organizations both at home and abroad.
